Hermes Dressage Watches
Hermes goes for a sleeker contemporary look
Each year, watch makers revisit popular watch lines and give them a reimagining to keep the line fresh and exciting. Hermes has done nothing less with their new release of the Dressage watch collection debuting at the 2012 Beselworld Watch Show.
Hermes has always been a cornerstone of great taste and refinement and the redesigned Dressage H1837 and Dressage H1912 in ten different models for this year:
While the case size remains the same, the opening diameter is 1.5 mm wider to offer you a better view of the complex, layered dial. The bevelled tonneau shape is complemented by lugs flowing into the case, ensuring a seamless curve. “Bridled” by a leather strap or metal bracelet, the case design also takes its cues from Hermès’ love of equestrian sport.
The Dressage collection, comprising ten different models with the H1837 movement named after the founding date of the House of Hermès, is offered with either a large central seconds hand and a date display at 6 o’clock, or with small seconds at 6 o’clock.
If you love Hermes Watches, then you will not be disappointed with this larger version of an instant classic. Since Hermes dipped into watch making in the 50’s and 60’s, they have always produced eye-catching timepieces made from elegant materials and feature a timeless design that watch collectors worldwide have taken notice of.
The New Arceau collection… not so much.
