2012 Green Auction features a rare Girard-Perregaux watch
On April 11, 2012, The Green Auction will auction off a rare Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk watch to benefit in the protection and conservation of the environment. Proceeds from this auction benefit several conservation societies including Oceana, Conservation International, Central Park Conservancy and Natural Resources Defense Council. Each of these foundations are working on water conservation projects.

In an interview with Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind Group which includes Girard-Perregaux watchmakers, she recounts the luxury watchmaker’s passion for water conservation, “It is important for all of us at Girard-Perregaux to contribute with our own grain of sand in this important fight, which is of great importance for our future generations and an issue that needs much support to increase awareness.”

Following an exclusive cocktail reception, the live auction will offer attendees the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind items, including a unique Girard-Perregaux timepiece. The Sea Hawk “Green Auction” 1000 features a steel and rubber 44mm case and houses a Girard-Perregaux manufacture automatic movement with 46 hours power reserve indicator and is water resistant to 1,000m.
